Job Description

Business Development Executive – Pest Control Company (Job Role & Responsibilities)

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify new business opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, and corporate sectors.

  • Generate leads through cold calling, field visits, referrals, online platforms, and networking.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients.

2. Client Meetings & Presentations

  • Conduct site visits to understand customer pest issues and requirements.

  • Present pest control services, treatment plans, and company benefits effectively.

  • Explain AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) packages and customized service solutions.

3. Sales & Conversion

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and service agreements.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and close deals to meet monthly sales targets.

  • Follow up consistently with prospects to convert leads into confirmed clients.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication and support.

  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalate to the operations team if needed.

5. Coordination with Operations Team

  • Communicate client requirements, service schedules, and special instructions to the operations/technical team.

  • Ensure smooth service execution and timely delivery.

  • Follow up post-service for customer feedback and cross-selling or up-selling.

6. Market Research & Expansion

  • Study market trends, competitor services, and pricing.

  • Identify new locations, industries, or sectors for business expansion.

  • Update management with relevant market insights.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily activity report (DAR) and sales tracking sheets.

  • Submit weekly/monthly sales performance reports.

  • Update CRM or MIS dashboards with lead status and closures.

8. Branding & Promotional Activities

  • Participate in marketing campaigns, exhibitions, events, and promotional drives.

  • Positive representation of the company to enhance brand value.

  • Support digital and offline marketing initiatives.

9. Financial Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients make timely payments for services rendered.

  • Follow up for outstanding dues and maintain payment records.

  • Submit collected payments to the accounts department.

10. Target Achievement

  • Achieve set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Develop strategies to improve sales performance.

  • Regularly review performance with management.
