We are seeking feet-on-street Business Development Executives who thrive in the field and believe in winning markets by building strong, trust-based relationships. The ideal candidate is a localite of Chennai with 2 to 5 years of on-ground sales or field execution experience. You must have a strong understanding of local markets, routes, and behaviour, along with a target-driven mindset and excellent follow-up discipline. Candidates should have a background in selling fast-moving goods, specifically in FMCG, General Trade (GT), distributor sales, or B2B field roles, and must be highly comfortable with daily field movement and beat execution. Experience working closely with retailers, distributors, or channel partners is essential for this position.
In this role, your daily operations will closely resemble FMCG beat sales. You will be responsible for owning and managing a fixed set of Vahan Leaders (VLs) within your assigned geography, meeting and engaging with them on a regular and consistent basis. Your primary objective is to help these leaders activate and convert in-house supply leads into a steady, active workforce. You will be tasked with driving daily, weekly, and monthly targets centered around acquisitions and activations. Additionally, you will serve as the first point of contact for your Vahan Leaders, providing day-to-day operational support, identifying drop-offs or bottlenecks early, and resolving them directly on the ground. You will also be expected to share valuable market insights with internal teams to improve overall outcomes.
Success in this position means that the Vahan Leaders in your beat are active, engaged, and performing, leading to steady and predictable lead conversions. By taking strong on-ground ownership, you will become the go-to person for leaders in your area and actively reduce supply gaps. Ultimately, you are not just driving numbers; you are building and stabilizing the workforce supply at the last mile, where your execution directly impacts Vahan's fulfillment, growth, and client success.
