Area Sales Officer

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and managing distribution within an assigned geographic territory. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives/officers, managing dealer and distributor relationships, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring effective market penetration for the company's products or services.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area

• Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies aligned with company goals

• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share

• Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the territory

Team Management

• Recruit, train, and mentor Sales Officers/Executives in the area

• Set individual sales targets and monitor performance

• Conduct regular team meetings, field visits, and performance reviews

• Motivate the team to meet and exceed sales goals

Distributor & Dealer Management

• Appoint, develop, and manage a network of distributors/dealers/retailers

• Ensure adequate stock availability and manage supply chain coordination

• Resolve channel partner issues and maintain strong business relationships

• Negotiate trade terms, credit limits, and promotional schemes

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management

• Track budget utilization and ROI on area sales activities

• Analyze sales data to identify gaps and growth opportunities

Marketing & Promotions

• Implement promotional campaigns and merchandising activities at the area level

• Coordinate with the marketing team for local branding initiatives

• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence
