Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Sales officier, Senior Sales Officier) – Cattle Feed

Reporting To: Sales Manager / Sales Head
Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth, expand market presence, and manage channel partners for cattle feed products in the assigned area, while ensuring farmer engagement, dealer development, and revenue achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Revenue Achievement
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for cattle feed.
Track secondary & primary sales to ensure consistent business growth.
Implement sales strategies to increase market share in assigned territories.
2. Channel Management
Appoint, manage, and support distributors and dealers.
Ensure distributor ROI, stock availability, and timely order execution.
Resolve channel conflicts and maintain strong business relationships.
3. Market Development
Conduct farmer meetings, village-level programs, and demos to promote cattle feed products.
Identify new potential markets and customer segments.
Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and farmer preferences.
4. Field Operations
Conduct regular market visits with structured route planning.
Monitor availability, visibility, and merchandising at retail points.
Ensure compliance with company policies and sales processes.
5. Team Management (if applicable)
Lead Sales Officers / Territory Sales Executives.
Provide training, motivation, and performance monitoring.
6. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with farmers, dairy societies, veterinarians, and influencers.
Address customer grievances promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Reporting & Documentation
Submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.
Maintain records of activities, market feedback, and competitor insights.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of cattle feed / agri-inputs / animal nutrition industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and farmer connect skills.
Channel management and B2C rural sales experience.
Analytical mindset with good planning & reporting ability.
Ability to work independently in rural markets.
