Area Sales Officer

Job Title: Cattle Feed Sales Executive / Sales Officer (Field)

Job Purpose:

To promote, market, and sell cattle feed products to dairy farmers, cattle owners, dealers, and distributors by providing technical knowledge, building strong relationships, and achieving sales targets in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Marketing

  • Promote and sell cattle feed and related products in villages, towns, and markets.

  • Identify potential customers (farmers, dairy cooperatives, veterinary doctors, dealers).

  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.

  • Conduct cattle camps, farmer meetings, and demonstrations for awareness.

• Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealers, and retailers.

  • Provide after-sales support and resolve farmer/customer queries.

  • Regular visits to villages to ensure product satisfaction.

• Technical Support

  • Advise farmers on feeding practices, nutrition, and animal health.

  • Guide customers on proper usage of feed for better milk yield and cattle growth.

  • Coordinate with veterinarians and paravets for field promotions.

• Market Development

  • Appoint and develop new dealers/distributors in assigned areas.

  • Increase product penetration in rural markets.

  • Gather competitor and market information.

• Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily sales and field activity reports.

  • Update management on customer feedback and market trends.

  • Track outstanding payments from dealers/distributors.

Key Skills Required:

• Good communication & convincing ability.

• Knowledge of cattle feed, dairy farming, and rural markets.

• Relationship-building skills with farmers and distributors.

• Basic knowledge of animal nutrition & cattle management.

• Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum: 12th Pass / Diploma in Agriculture / Veterinary / Animal Husbandry preferred.

• Graduate in Agriculture, Dairy Science, Veterinary, or related field is an advantage.

• 06 Months–3 years of sales/field experience (Freshers with knowledge of dairy farming can apply).

Other Requirements:

• Should have a two-wheeler and valid driving license.

• Ready for extensive fieldwork in villages.

• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and customer-focused.

• It is a Full Time Field Sales job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
