Area Sales Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a result-driven and field-oriented General Trade (GT) Sales Executive with experience in the FMCG/Food industry. The candidate will be responsible for driving primary and secondary sales, expanding market coverage, managing distributor relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as assigned.

• Handle General Trade market including retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.

• Ensure effective distribution and availability of products in the assigned territory.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and retailers.

• Conduct regular market visits and ensure proper coverage of outlets.

• Monitor competitor activities and provide market feedback to management.

• Implement trade schemes, promotional activities, and branding initiatives.

• Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain outstanding control.

• Maintain daily sales reports and submit periodic MIS to reporting manager.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in FMCG / Food industry sales.

• Hands-on experience in General Trade sales.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Good knowledge of local market and distributor network.

• Ability to work independently and achieve targets.

• Two-wheeler with valid driving license preferred (if field role).

Qualification:

• Graduate in any discipline (preferred).

• MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.

• It is a Full Time Field Sales job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
