Job summary ..The Area Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, expanding market presence, and ensuring product availability within the assigned territory. The role involves regular field visits, dealer management, and achieving monthly sales targets.Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Target AchievementAchieve monthly and quarterly sales targets of the assigned area.Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors and retailers.Identify new business opportunities in the market.2. Market ExpansionAppoint new dealers/distributors where required.Increase product visibility and market penetration.Conduct market research to understand competitor activities and customer needs.3. Dealer & Distributor ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with dealers, retailers, and distributors.Ensure timely stock replenishment and order booking.Monitor distributor ROI, stock levels, and market performance.4. Field Visits & ReportingConduct regular market visits to assess market conditions.Collect feedback from the market and share insights with the management team.Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and update sales dashboards.5. Marketing & PromotionExecute trade promotions, schemes, and product campaigns.Ensure availability of POS materials and branding at retail counters.6. Customer ServiceHandle customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution.Improve customer satisfaction through timely support and communication.Skills & QualificationsEducational QualificationGraduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred).Experience1–3 years of experience in sales (FMCG, Retail, Telecom, or Consumer Durable preferred).Freshers with good communication and field interest may also apply.Key SkillsStrong communication & negotiation skillsMarket knowledge and field sales experienceAbility to handle pressure and meet targetsGood analytical and reporting skillsRelationship-building abilityKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Achievement of sales targetsDealer/Distributor productivityArea growth and market shareEffective execution of schemesCustomer satisfaction
