Job Description: Area Sales Manager – Apparel
Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, managing store operations, leading teams, and expanding the brand’s presence within the assigned territory. The role ensures achievement of sales targets, operational excellence, and superior franchisee/customer experience.
Sales Performance & Target Achievement
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed assigned targets
Monitor and analyze sales performance across the region
Ensure all stores/teams achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
Identify gaps and implement corrective action plans
Team Management
Recruit, train, and supervise store managers and sales staff
Drive team motivation, productivity, and a positive work culture
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback
Set KPIs and track team performance
Market & Competitor Analysis
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities
Track competitor sales performance and pricing strategies
Identify opportunities for market expansion and new product lines
Store Operations & Visual Merchandising
Ensure adherence to brand SOPs and visual merchandising standards
Plan and allocate stock effectively across stores
Coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams for timely stock dispatch
Oversee inventory management and stock availability
Ensure store upkeep aligns with brand guidelines
Franchisee / Customer Experience
Ensure high levels of franchisee and customer satisfaction
Resolve complaints and feedback promptly
Maintain strong relationships with franchise partners
Business Development
Identify new franchise opportunities and store expansion locations
Build relationships with landlords, mall management, and stakeholders
Plan and execute promotional and marketing campaigns
Financial Management
Manage store-level budgets and control expenses
Prepare sales reports, MIS, and financial forecasts
Analyze margins and recommend profitability improvements
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
Maintain accurate sales and operational reports
Implement and monitor adherence to SOPs
