Fashion Tailor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Tailor who can understand the designer’s sketches and concepts and convert them into well-fitted, high-quality garments. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian and Indo-Western wear and be able to independently handle garment construction from cutting to final finishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand designer sketches, designs and garment concepts.
• Take accurate measurements and prepare cutting accordingly.
• Cut fabrics as per approved designs, measurements and patterns.
• Stitch garments according to the designer’s specifications.
• Handle Indian, Indo-Western and occasion wear garments.
• Ensure proper fitting, shape, finishing and overall garment construction.
• Work closely with the Fashion Designer for design execution and modifications.
• Understand different fabrics and their stitching requirements.
• Coordinate with the cutting and stitching team to ensure timely completion.
• Identify and rectify fitting or construction issues.
• Maintain quality standards and minimize fabric wastage.
• Complete garments within given deadlines and production requirements.

Requirements

✔️ Proven experience as a Cutting & Stitching Master / Master Tailor.
✔️ Strong knowledge of garment cutting, stitching and construction.
✔️ Experience with Indian & Indo-Western wear preferred.
✔️ Ability to understand designer sketches and translate them into finished garments.
✔️ Good knowledge of measurements, fitting, patterns and fabric behaviour.
✔️ Strong attention to detail and finishing.
✔️ Ability to work independently and coordinate with designers and the production team.
✔️ Experience in boutique, designer label or garment production will be an advantage.
