A Fashion Merchandiser is responsible for analyzing fashion trends, planning merchandise assortments, managing stock levels, and coordinating with designers, buyers, and suppliers to ensure the right products are available at the right time and price. The role requires a strong blend of creativity, analytical skills, and market awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trend Analysis & Forecasting:
  Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to forecast future fashion trends and demands.

• Product Planning:
  Develop and execute merchandise plans that align with brand identity, seasonal themes, and sales targets.

• Buying & Sourcing:
  Work with vendors, designers, and suppliers to source fabrics, garments, and accessories. Assist in product selection and development.

• Inventory Management:
  Monitor stock levels, coordinate reorders, and manage inventory turnover to minimize markdowns and stockouts.

• Sales & Performance Analysis:
  Review sales reports and performance metrics to evaluate the success of product lines and suggest necessary changes.

• Visual Merchandising Coordination:
  Collaborate with visual merchandising teams to ensure in-store displays reflect brand messaging and seasonal collections.

• Pricing Strategy:
  Assist in setting competitive pricing structures to maximize profit margins while staying attractive to target customers.

• Vendor & Supplier Liaison:
  Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or related field.

• Min. 1-2 years of experience in fashion merchandising or a related role.

• Strong understanding of fashion trends, textiles, and the retail industry.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising software (e.g., WFX, Zedonk, SAP).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
