Fashion Designer
Simcity is looking for a Fashion Designer with 2–3 years of experience to develop garments and collections that reflect our brand identity and respond to customer preferences.
Salary: ₹25,000–₹35,000 per month in hand
Experience: 2–3 years
Minimum qualification: Graduate
Key responsibilities
Develop garment and collection ideas, sketches and design concepts.
Research fashion trends, fabrics and customer preferences.
Design women’s wear, with a focus on Indian wear; experience in Western wear is an advantage.
Source suitable fabrics, trims and other materials needed for designs.
Coordinate with the production team to develop and prepare samples.
Attend fittings, suggest revisions and support final garment approvals.
Maintain design records, references and mood boards.
Use design software such as Adobe Illustrator to communicate ideas and prepare design materials.
Requirements
2–3 years of fashion design experience, preferably in women’s wear.
Strong understanding of Indian wear, fabrics and garment construction.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar design software.
Creativity, attention to detail and the ability to take a design from concept through sampling.
Knowledge of embroidery and stitching is an advantage.
CAD knowledge is optional.
