Fashion designer

We are looking for a Fashion designer to join our team at Lajjarashmi Private Limited to design garments and collections as per market trends and brand identity. This creative role requires planning, developing and creating new designs manually or using a computer. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹30,000 - ₹50,000 and an opportunity to work on innovative fashion projects.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Diploma and 3 - 6+ years of experience. Strong knowledge of fabrics, design software (like Illustrator) and creativity is essential. Besides this, skills like Embroidery, Stitching, CAD (Optional) are also important.

Key Responsibilities

• Trend Research: Analyzing fashion trends, runway shows, and consumer behavior to predict upcoming styles.

• Design & Sketching: Creating initial design ideas and mood boards, using sketching skills or software like Adobe Illustrator or CLO3D.

• Fabric Selection: Choosing fabrics, materials, colors, and patterns, often visiting suppliers or trade shows.

• Technical Development: Preparing technical packages (tech packs) that include construction details, measurements, and materials for manufacturers.

• Prototyping & Fitting: Collaborating with pattern makers to create prototypes and overseeing fittings to make necessary adjustments.

• Production Oversight: Ensuring the final product adheres to the design vision and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Creativity: A strong eye for color, design, and aesthetics.

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in fashion design software, sewing, and garment construction.

• Communication: Ability to collaborate with design, marketing, and production teams.

• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fabric properties, production methods, and sustainable practices.

Education: A degree in fashion design or a related field is often preferred
