Job Description

Key responsibilitiesDesign support: Assist in developing concepts and collections by creating sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings.Research: Stay current on fashion trends, market demands, and emerging techniques by conducting research on trends, fabrics, and colors.Materials management: Help select, source, and organize fabrics, trims, and other materials for designs.Production coordination: Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and factories to ensure samples are produced on time and meet quality standards.Sampling and fittings: Assist in creating prototypes and participate in fittings, making necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback.Documentation: Prepare technical specification sheets (tech packs) and other design documents for production. Essential skills and qualificationsTechnical skills: Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, strong sketching and illustration skills, and knowledge of fashion design principles.Soft skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, texture, and proportion.Industry knowledge: A strong understanding of fashion trends, market demands, and industry standards.Education: A degree in Fashion Design or a related field is often required.
