Job Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor Diesel Generator (DG) sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Start, stop, and operate DG sets safely as per operational requirements.
Monitor DG parameters such as fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and load.
Perform routine inspection of generators, batteries, cables, and related equipment.
Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of DG sets.
Check and maintain adequate diesel, engine oil, and coolant levels.
Identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, overheating, or other equipment issues and report them promptly.
Maintain daily DG operation, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
Coordinate with the maintenance and electrical teams for major repairs and breakdowns.
Follow electrical safety procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
Ensure the DG area and equipment are kept clean and properly maintained.
Requirements:
ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical is preferred.
Previous experience as a DG Operator, Generator Operator, or DG Technician is preferred.
Basic knowledge of diesel generators and electrical systems.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
Good understanding of workplace and electrical safety procedures.
Candidates with relevant hands-on experience can also apply.
