1–3 years in electrical service, maintenance, solar, inverter, UPS or related field. Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma knowledge may also be considered.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Service Technician to handle installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of solar electrical systems. The candidate will be responsible for resolving site-level electrical issues and ensuring proper functioning of solar systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect and maintain solar electrical systems.
Perform electrical wiring, connections and termination work.
Troubleshoot faults in solar inverters, AC/DC systems, DBs, panels, cables and protection devices.
Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of solar systems.
Check voltage, current, continuity, insulation and other electrical parameters.
Use electrical testing equipment such as multimeter, clamp meter and insulation tester.
Attend customer complaints and service calls at different sites.
Identify electrical faults and provide appropriate solutions.
Assist in installation and commissioning of solar projects.
Check earthing, MCB/MCCB, SPD, isolators and other electrical protection systems.
Maintain service reports, installation reports and breakdown records.
Coordinate with the Service Engineer / Project Engineer for technical issues.
Ensure work is completed safely and according to company standards.
Follow all electrical safety procedures and use required PPE.
Travel to customer/project sites as required.
Maintain tools, equipment and service materials.
Provide basic technical guidance to customers regarding system operation and safety.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of basic electrical systems and wiring.
Knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits.
Basic knowledge of solar PV systems and inverters.
Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to travel to project/customer sites.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification
ITI – Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
