About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer with hands-on experience in GPS, Telematics, Vehicle Tracking Systems, and Automotive Electronics.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical troubleshooting and field support experience and should be capable of resolving customer issues related to GPS/telematics devices, vehicle tracking systems, and Vehicle Control Units (VCU).

The candidate will be required to work closely with customers, field teams, vendors, and internal technical teams and should be willing to travel to customer locations for on-site troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for GPS, Telematics, and Vehicle Tracking devices.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telematics devices and vehicle tracking systems.

• Visit customer/field locations for on-site troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Analyze device and field data to identify technical issues and performance problems.

• Troubleshoot issues related to Vehicle Control Units (VCU) and automotive electronic systems.

• Support device installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning activities.

• Handle software flashing, OTA updates, firmware-related issues, and device configuration.

• Coordinate with internal technical/product teams to resolve complex customer issues.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for technical and field-related issues.

• Prepare and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

• Support AIS-140 empanelment/compliance coordination across different states.

• Monitor recurring field issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain records of customer complaints, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and device performance.

• Gather, analyze, and report technical/field data using MS Excel and other tools.

• Coordinate with customers, field engineers, vendors, and internal teams for timely resolution of issues.

• Prepare technical reports and maintain proper service documentation.

• Travel extensively to customer/field locations whenever required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in Technical Support, Customer Support, Field Service, Product Support, or Service Engineering.

• Hands-on experience with GPS, Telematics, Vehicle Tracking, or Fleet Tracking products.

• Experience in troubleshooting electronic/telematics devices in the field.

• Strong exposure to Automotive Electronics / Telematics products.

• Knowledge of Vehicle Control Units (VCU) and vehicle electronic systems will be preferred.

• Experience with AIS-140 / VLT / VLTD will be highly preferred.

• Exposure to software flashing, OTA updates, firmware updates, and device configuration.

• Strong knowledge of RCA and CAPA for technical issues.

• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret technical and field data.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good customer-handling and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel to customer and field locations.

• Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:

• Electronics Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Electronics & Telecommunication

• Automotive Engineering

• Instrumentation

• Mechatronics

• or a related technical discipline.

The ideal candidate should be a Telematics / GPS / Vehicle Tracking Field Service or Product Support Engineer who has hands-on experience in:

GPS/Telematics Devices + Vehicle Tracking + Field Troubleshooting + Automotive Electronics + Customer Support + RCA/CAPA + AIS-140

Candidates with only generic IT Customer Support, BPO Customer Support, Network Support, Desktop Support, or Software Development experience will not be preferred.
