Core Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Maintenance
Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical circuits and equipment.
Inspect, test, and ensure functionality of electrical panels, distribution boards, switches, sockets, and fixtures.
2. Installation and Commissioning
Install new electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment as per design and safety standards.
Assist in commissioning of newly installed electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes (IS/IEC standards).
3. Safety and Compliance
Ensure all work complies with Indian Electrical Safety Standards and local statutory regulations.
Follow safety protocols while working on live systems or high-voltage equipment.
Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
4. Monitoring and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, breakdowns, inspections, and repairs.
Update service logs and daily reports as required by the facility management team.
Monitor energy usage and recommend energy-saving initiatives where applicable.
5. Emergency Response
Respond to emergency breakdowns, power failures, and alarm systems promptly.
Be part of the on-call team for after-hours emergency repairs as needed.
Help in other technical emergency issues like plumbing leakages etc.
6. Coordination and Communication
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced electrical jobs or equipment servicing.
Work collaboratively with HVAC, plumbing, and other technical staff within the facility team.
Report issues and escalate major faults to the Facility Manager in a timely manner.
7. Inventory and Tool Management
Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables required for electrical maintenance.
Ensure proper upkeep, usage, and storage of tools and equipment.
