Job Description: ITI-Certified Electrician

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with installations:

This includes helping with wiring, cable placement, and the installation of electrical equipment like light fixtures, outlets, and switches.

• Assisting with maintenance:

This involves performing regular checks and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.

• Assisting with repairs:

This includes diagnosing and fixing electrical faults, replacing faulty components, and making necessary repairs to electrical systems and equipment.

• Learning and understanding electrical codes and safety regulations:

Interns are expected to learn and understand the basic principles of electrical work, as well as relevant safety regulations.

• Following instructions and guidelines:

Interns should follow instructions and guidelines provided by supervisors and other qualified electricians.

• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace:

Interns are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, and to properly store tools and equipment.

• Interns typically work under the guidance of experienced electricians, learning the trade through hands-on experience. 

• The internship may provide opportunities to learn about various electrical systems, such as residential, commercial, and industrial wiring. 

• Interns may also learn to use various tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and pliers. 

• The internship may involve working on different projects, such as installing new electrical systems, repairing existing systems, or performing maintenance on electrical equipment. 

• Interns may also be required to assist with paperwork, such as recording work performed and preparing reports. 

• Some internships may also involve learning about electrical safety, such as how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and how to identify and address electrical hazards.
