ITI Electrician

The Electrician is responsible for electrical wiring, panel assembly, machine installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation equipment, control panels, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and company standards while ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical wiring of control panels, machines, and industrial equipment.

• Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.

• Assemble and wire PLC control panels, MCC panels, and electrical cabinets.

• Install sensors, limit switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, servo drives, and other electrical components.

• Carry out machine wiring, cable routing, cable dressing, and termination.

• Test electrical circuits using a multimeter, megger, and other testing instruments.

• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in machines and panels.

• Support machine installation, commissioning, and customer site activities when required.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and PPE requirements.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in a clean and organized condition.

• Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, and PLC teams for project execution.

• Maintain daily work reports and update supervisors on task progress.

• Perform preventive maintenance and other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification

• ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation, control panel wiring, or SPM manufacturing.

• Fresh ITI candidates with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panel wiring.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Experience with PLC panels, sensors, VFDs, relays, contactors, and motors.

• Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Robotics, Industrial Automation, or Machine Building.

• Knowledge of PLC systems such as Mitsubishi, Siemens, Delta, or Omron is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel for machine installation and service activities.

• It is a Full Time Electrician job for candidates with 1 - 6 years of experience.
