Position: Solar Technician

Department: Operations & Maintenance / Projects

Location: Across Telangana (Site-Based)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

A Solar Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV systems. The role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work at various project sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Commissioning

Install solar panels, mounting structures, wiring, and inverters

Perform site survey and basic measurements

Assist in the commissioning of solar PV systems

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance

Identify and resolve technical faults in modules, inverters, cables, and BOS systems

Monitor system performance and report abnormalities

3. Electrical & Technical Work

Handling DC & AC electrical connections

Testing, measuring voltage/current, and using basic electrical tools

Ensure proper earthing and safety compliance

4. Safety & Documentation

Follow all safety protocols and PPE standards

Maintain daily work logs, service reports, and checklists

Coordinate with supervisors and site engineers for work updates

Required Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related trade

0–3 years of experience in Solar Installation, O&M, or Electrical Work

Basic knowledge of solar components: PV modules, inverters, structures, cabling

Ability to work at heights and outdoor environments

Good understanding of electrical safety practices

Physically fit and willing to travel to different project locations

Preferred Skills

Experience working on rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects

Ability to read basic electrical diagrams

Problem-solving attitude

Team coordination skills
