Job Summary
An ITI Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in industrial, commercial, or residential facilities. The role ensures safe and efficient operation of electrical installations while complying with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and equipment.
Inspect electrical systems and identify faults or defects.
Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
Install and maintain motors, transformers, switches, circuit breakers, and control panels.
Conduct preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
Use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, and insulation testers.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Assist in emergency electrical repairs to minimize downtime.
Required Qualifications
ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade from a recognized institute.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety practices.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of electrical tools and measuring instruments.
Cable laying and termination
