Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Perform routine inspection of electrical panels, motors, cables, switches, lighting systems, and other electrical equipment.
Assist senior electricians in electrical breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting.
Check electrical connections, wiring, fuses, MCBs, contactors, relays, and other electrical components.
Support preventive maintenance activities as per the maintenance schedule.
Identify electrical faults and report them immediately to the senior electrician or maintenance supervisor.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of industrial motors, pumps, control panels, and electrical circuits.
Maintain proper housekeeping around electrical panels and work areas.
Follow all electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company safety rules.
Ensure electrical tools and equipment are used safely and properly.
Maintain basic records of electrical maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and replaced components.
Assist in checking and maintaining earthing systems and electrical safety arrangements.
Support emergency electrical maintenance during machine breakdowns or production requirements.
Ensure that electrical work is carried out only under proper supervision and authorization.
Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
Perform any other electrical maintenance duties assigned by the Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI – Electrician Trade from a recognized institute.
0–2 years of experience in electrical maintenance; freshers may also be considered.
Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems and electrical safety.
Basic understanding of electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Ability to use basic electrical tools and measuring instruments.
Willingness to work in shifts and industrial/manufacturing environments.
Good discipline, teamwork, learning attitude, and problem-solving skills.
