High tension wireman

An Electrical HT Line Contract Supervisor looks after high-tension (HT) electrical line work at site. The main job is to make sure the work is done safely, correctly, and as per contract and technical rules.

Main Duties

• Supervise daily HT line work at site

• Guide workers and linemen during erection, stringing, and commissioning work

• Ensure work follows approved drawings, work instructions, and safety rules

• Make sure all safety precautions are followed (shutdown, earthing, PPE, permits)

• Check quality of work on poles, towers, conductors, insulators, and hardware

• Coordinate with utility officials, engineers, and subcontractors

• Arrange tools, equipment, and materials needed for the job

• Keep daily records of work progress, manpower, and materials

• Report site issues, delays, or accidents to the project engineer or manager

Education and Experience

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related trade

• Experience in HT line or transmission/distribution work

Skills Needed

• Basic knowledge of HT line construction and safety

• Ability to read simple drawings and line layouts

• Good control of workers and contractors

• Awareness of electrical safety rules

Work Environment

• Work mainly outdoors on electrical line sites

• Requires strict safety discipline and site presence

• It is a Full Time Electrician job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
