Electrician

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.

• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in a timely manner.

• Maintain and service motors, control panels, MCC, PCC, DBs, transformers and electrical distribution systems.

• Handle electrical wiring, cable termination, cable laying and maintenance activities.

• Monitor and maintain lighting systems, power supply and industrial electrical equipment.

• Attend emergency electrical breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.

• Conduct regular inspection of electrical systems and identify potential issues.

• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance schedules.

• Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools and equipment.

• Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and statutory safety requirements.

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and electrical standards.

• Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical equipment when required.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

• Knowledge of motors, starters, VFDs, contactors, relays and control panels.

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Basic knowledge of PLC systems will be an advantage.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle breakdown situations.
