Job Responsibilities
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in a timely manner.
Maintain and service motors, control panels, MCC, PCC, DBs, transformers and electrical distribution systems.
Handle electrical wiring, cable termination, cable laying and maintenance activities.
Monitor and maintain lighting systems, power supply and industrial electrical equipment.
Attend emergency electrical breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
Conduct regular inspection of electrical systems and identify potential issues.
Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance schedules.
Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools and equipment.
Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and statutory safety requirements.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and electrical standards.
Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical equipment when required.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Knowledge of motors, starters, VFDs, contactors, relays and control panels.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Basic knowledge of PLC systems will be an advantage.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and handle breakdown situations.
