Core Responsibilities
Critical Power Management: Ensure uninterrupted power to life-support systems, patient monitors, and emergency medical equipment by managing backup systems like generators and UPS units.
System Maintenance: Conduct routine planned inspections and repairs on electrical panels, distribution boards, lighting, and specialized hospital wiring (e.g., surgical lighting, nurse call systems).
Emergency Response: Act swiftly during power outages or electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime and ensure patient safety.
Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled servicing on critical infrastructure, including medical gas lines, and electrical boards, to avoid failures.
Breakdown Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical emergencies rapidly to support uninterrupted hospital operations.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to healthcare and safety standards (such as NABH in India).
Asset & Vendor Management: Oversee spare parts inventory, manage supplier contracts, and coordinate with external technicians for heavy equipment servicing.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, equipment calibrations, and routine safety audits.
