Electrician

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Electrician to join our team at Vandana Global Raipur, a leading steel manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in the plant. This includes motors, electrical panels, transformers, circuit breakers, wiring systems, and other industrial electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installation & Maintenance:

  • Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems for plant machinery and equipment.

  • Ensure all electrical systems are up to code and operate efficiently.

• Troubleshooting & Repair:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, panels, motors, and other equipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and troubleshoot electrical issues.

• Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems.

  • Conduct regular safety checks of electrical equipment and report hazards.

• Preventive Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for electrical systems and machinery.

  • Monitor the performance of electrical equipment to prevent unscheduled breakdowns.

• Upgrades and Modifications:

  • Assist in upgrading and modifying electrical equipment to improve efficiency and meet plant requirements.

  • Ensure all modifications are in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, maintenance schedules, and repairs.

  • Report any significant electrical issues or malfunctions to the relevant supervisor or engineer.

• Teamwork & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure smooth plant operations.

  • Participate in plant shutdowns and emergency repairs.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical certification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Maintenance from a recognized institution.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or steel plant environment.

  • Experience with high-voltage equipment and industrial machinery.

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, motors, PLCs, and automation systems.

  • Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical systems and industrial environments.

  • Proficient with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable with working at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures.

• Capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
