Job Title: Electrician – Hotel Maintenance

Reports To: Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the hotel. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, safety compliance, and timely response to guest and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, switchboards, distribution panels, and lighting.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and repair or replace defective components.
Maintain and service generators, UPS, motors, kitchen equipment, HVAC electrical controls, and elevators (basic electrical checks).
Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire safety regulations, and hotel policies.
Assist in energy conservation initiatives and monitor electricity usage.
Respond promptly to guest complaints or service requests related to electrical issues.
Maintain records of daily work logs, preventive maintenance schedules, and material usage.
Coordinate with other maintenance staff (plumbing, HVAC, carpentry) for smooth operations.
Inspect electrical installations regularly and recommend improvements.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored safely.
Qualifications & Skills:
ITI/Diploma in Electrical or equivalent certification.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in hospitality or commercial buildings.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and on-call duty.
