New Horizon Group of Schools is looking for a skilled and responsible Electrician to handle the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our school premises. The ideal candidate will ensure all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with school and government standards.
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment within the school premises.
Regularly inspect electrical systems, components, and fixtures to ensure safety and compliance.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical circuits and equipment.
Maintain and operate electrical panels, generators, UPS systems, and classroom electrical fixtures.
Ensure timely response to electrical issues to minimize downtime or disruption to school operations.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce electrical failures and safety risks.
Maintain proper records of all electrical repairs and maintenance work.
Ensure compliance with all school and government safety regulations and electrical codes.
Coordinate with the maintenance department for any infrastructure-related work.
ITI / Diploma in Electrical Trade (or equivalent qualification).
1–3 years of experience as an electrician (preferably in educational institutions, buildings, or similar setups).
Must possess a valid PWD License.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to perform hands-on electrical tasks.
Willing to work in shifts or during off-hours in case of emergencies.
