Position: Electrical Technician – EOT Crane & Hoist Systems

Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, wiring, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of EOT cranes, hoists, and associated electrical systems. The role requires hands-on expertise in control panel wiring, motor connections, limit switches, wireless remote systems, safety devices, and crane electrification systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Wiring
Perform electrical wiring and commissioning of CD Hoists and EOT Cranes.
Connect and configure limit switches, including CT (Cross Travel) and LT (Long Travel) two-way lever limit switches.
Carry out parent/main contactor wiring in new and existing control panels.
Install and maintain C-Rail electrification systems.
Execute brake wiring and brake adjustment as per technical specifications.
Control Panel & System Integration
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Wire and troubleshoot control panels, contactors, relays, overloads, and protection devices.
Ensure proper cable routing, ferruling, termination, and labeling of wires.
Verify all electrical connections before energizing equipment.
Testing & Commissioning
Measure and record motor current during commissioning and maintenance activities.
Perform functional testing of crane motions and safety interlocks.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely rectification.
Assist in commissioning activities and customer demonstrations.
Wireless & Safety Systems
Install and configure wireless remote-control systems.
Set up and calibrate anti-collision systems, including connection and range settings.
Verify proper operation of safety devices and emergency stop circuits.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.
Use safety belts, lifelines, and PPE while working at heights.
Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and commissioning documents.
Ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of industrial electrical wiring and control circuits.
Experience with EOT Cranes, Hoists, or Material Handling Equipment preferred.
Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot control panels.
Knowledge of contactors, relays, motors, VFDs, limit switches, and remote-control systems.
Familiarity with anti-collision systems and crane safety standards.
Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
