An Electrical Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, wiring, and equipment, reading blueprints, troubleshooting faults, testing components, and ensuring safety compliance in buildings or machinery. They perform preventive maintenance, assemble new parts, and may order supplies, working with circuits, lighting, and power systems to keep everything running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Assembly: Installing and mounting electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, circuit breakers, and fixtures.
Maintenance & Repair: Performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing faulty wiring, motors, generators, and other electrical components.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing problems in electrical systems, using schematics and blueprints.
Testing & Calibration: Testing equipment, calibrating instruments, and ensuring systems meet standards.
Documentation: Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and advising on equipment suitability.
Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
Supply Management: Ordering necessary electrical supplies and parts.
