Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) & ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) Operator to manage daily site operations, plant maintenance, and wastewater treatment processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that all industrial effluent and sewage treatment systems operate efficiently, meet compliance standards, and function without downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Routine Plant Operation: Monitor and operate all equipment in Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), including pumps, motors, blowers, agitators, and filter presses.
Chemical Dosing & Treatment: Prepare chemical solutions (coagulants, flocculants, neutralizing agents) and ensure proper chemical dosing according to water parameter test results.
Monitoring & Log Maintenance: Maintain daily logbooks recording operational parameters such as pH, TSS, COD, BOD, dissolved oxygen (DO), flow meter readings, and chemical usage.
Process Control & Testing: Conduct basic on-site water quality tests (pH, turbidity, sludge settling rate) and adjust operational processes to keep effluent parameters within prescribed PCB (Pollution Control Board) norms.
Preventive & Routine Maintenance: Perform daily inspection of pipelines, valves, and electrical control panels; identify leaks, mechanical faults, or wear and tear, and carry out minor troubleshooting/repairs.
Sludge Management: Manage filter press operations, sludge dewatering, drying, and proper disposal of bio-sludge or hazardous ETP sludge in accordance with environmental guidelines.
Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere strictly to site safety guidelines, utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep the plant area clean and hazard-free.
