Electrician

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:

  Installing new electrical systems, components, and wiring, as well as performing routine maintenance on existing systems. 

• Troubleshooting and Repair:

  Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems using appropriate tools and techniques, including reading blueprints and schematics. 

• Inspections and Testing:

  Conducting regular inspections of electrical systems and components to identify potential issues and ensure safety and functionality. 

• Compliance:

  Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with relevant electrical codes and safety regulations. 

• Documentation:

  Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and system performance.

  Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment. 

Common Tasks:

• Inspecting and testing electrical components like circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring.

• Troubleshooting electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

• Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future problems.

• Maintaining and updating electrical system documentation.

• Collaborating with other maintenance staff on projects.

• Responding to emergency repair requests promptly.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
