Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Electrician to join the Engineering/Maintenance team at Akash Hospital. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and hospital facilities to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform electrical installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting work.

Maintain electrical panels, wiring, switches, sockets, lighting systems, and power supply.

Attend electrical breakdowns and resolve faults promptly.

Conduct regular preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.

Check and maintain generators, UPS systems, and other electrical equipment.

Ensure proper functioning of emergency electrical systems.

Identify electrical hazards and take corrective action.

Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and maintenance records.

Follow hospital safety procedures and electrical safety standards.

Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for daily maintenance activities.

Respond to emergency electrical requirements when required.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, panels, and electrical equipment.

Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical faults.

Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Basic understanding of electrical safety standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Experience

1–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital, hotel, commercial building, or other facility maintenance environment.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to work in shifts.

Ability to handle emergency maintenance calls.

Knowledge of hospital electrical systems will be an added advantage.
