Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment, machinery, and plant utilities.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, starters, contactors, relays, control panels, and distribution boards.
Maintain and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, cables, switches, and industrial sockets.
Diagnose faults in three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and electrical equipment.
Inspect and maintain MCC panels, PCC panels, MCBs, MCCBs, VFDs, and motor control circuits.
Carry out motor inspection, insulation resistance testing, and basic electrical measurements.
Maintain electrical maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.
Follow electrical safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), proper isolation, and the use of PPE.
Coordinate with the maintenance team and production department to minimize machine downtime.
Identify unsafe electrical conditions, loose connections, overheating, and potential fire hazards.
Ensure proper earthing and safe operation of electrical installations.
Support energy-saving initiatives and maintain good housekeeping in the electrical maintenance area.
