High Performance/Skill Rider Function Research & Development - Jaipur Pay Band E3 & below Role High Performance/Skill Rider A purpose driven role for you The High Performance/Skill Rider is responsible for the timely vehicle preparation and execution of test activities at vehicle and system level, ensuring the Performance, Reliability and Safety of our vehicles throughout their development lifecycle. This includes extreme riding conditions with the aim of obtaining objective and subjective data for delivery of optimized vehicle performance to meet targets defined in project scope and timelines. The role involves the preparation and performing of vehicle tests as well as the reporting of results achieved by providing written reports of quantitative and qualitative feedback of the vehicle performance. The High Performance/Skill Rider should fully understand test procedures and ensure all tests adherence to current Hero best practice in the shape of SOPs and Engineering Guidelines. The High performance / Skill Rider is required to understand vehicle ergonomics, geometry, braking, suspension parameters, powertrain performance and their effects on overall vehicle performance. He/She will be responsible for providing the feedback that drive the changes to achieve the defined project targets. A Day in the life 1. Safe testing of high performance vehicles in extreme riding conditions. 2. Fair and proportional evaluation of vehicle performance against benchmarks. 3. Identification of problems or performance issues and suggesting of development direction to improve them. 4. Work under the extreme environmental conditions as vehicles need to be tested for the different harsh weather conditions like temperature, dust, etc. 5. Flexibility to work in shift if required - as needed based on project work content and schedules Academic Qualification & Experience Higher secondary/Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or equivalent./ B.E. , B.Tech. Technical Skills/Knowledge • Passionate about motorcycles and product development. • Experience of motorcycle handling/dynamics, suspension, brakes and ergonomics testing & evaluation • Capable of riding all kinds of two wheelers • Experience in riding high performance and/or racing motorcycles. • Capable of doing basic vehicle repair activities. • Sound knowledge of motorcycles chassis systems. • Drive for results- Willing to strive to deliver tasks on time with max quality. • Experience of rider training and willing to groom new riders in team. • Good knowledge of different vehicle attributes, validation methods and industry trends. • Good to have proficiency in vehicle data logging and experienced in relevant software tools for test data analysis (Vbox, CAN loggers, etc) • Communication - able to communicate test results in English, clearly and professionally in verbal and written format Behavioural Skills High communication skills.
