Heavy Driver

Core Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operating heavy trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and other large vehicles. 

• Transportation: Delivering goods and materials to specified locations, sometimes over long distances and across multiple states. 

• Loading and Unloading: Assisting with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods. 

• Route Planning: Planning efficient routes, utilizing maps, GPS, or other navigation tools. 

• Vehicle Maintenance: Performing pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working order. 

• Communication: Maintaining clear communication with dispatchers, clients, and other team members. 

• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and any incidents encountered on the road. 

• Compliance: Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. 

• Customer Service: Interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
