Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our operations team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, or personnel using heavy commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to handle the physical demands of the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Operation: Drive heavy vehicles (Trucks, Tankers, or Dumpers) over short or long distances in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Check fuel, oil, tires, brakes, and lights to ensure the vehicle is in top working condition.

• Logbook Management: Maintain accurate records of working hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.

• Loading & Unloading: Oversee the secure loading of cargo to prevent damage and ensure weight distribution is within legal limits. Assist with unloading where required.

• Route Planning: Plan efficient routes using GPS or standard maps to ensure on-time deliveries while avoiding restricted roads or heavy traffic.

• Incident Reporting: Promptly report any mechanical failures, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor or dispatch office.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License: Must possess a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or Trans commercial driving license.

• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of verifiable experience driving heavy vehicles in an industrial or commercial setting.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to sit for long periods and physically manage tasks such as loading/unloading or minor roadside repairs.

• Documentation: Familiarity with necessary transit documents (E-way bills, delivery notes, and vehicle permits).

• Clean Record: No major traffic violations or DUI/DWI convictions in the last 3 years.

• Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, good vision/hearing, and a basic understanding of vehicle mechanics.

• It is a Full Time Driver job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
