A Truck Driver (Track Driver) is responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently using heavy-duty trucks or other large vehicles. The role involves following assigned routes, maintaining schedules, and ensuring the safe loading, transport, and delivery of cargo.
Operate commercial trucks (e.g., tractor-trailers, box trucks, flatbeds) to transport goods.
Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload cargo, securing materials properly to prevent shifting or damage.
Follow designated routes, GPS, and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and cargo records.
Comply with traffic laws and all transportation regulations.
Communicate with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse staff.
Monitor vehicle performance and report issues or required maintenance.
Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for vehicle type.
Clean driving record.
Ability to operate large vehicles safely.
Basic mechanical understanding for minor truck maintenance.
Good time-management and navigation skills.
Physical ability to lift/load cargo when required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
