Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Logistics Van Driver / Delivery Van Driver / Tata Magic Pickup Driver to handle the safe transportation and timely delivery of company products, goods and materials from the warehouse/factory to stores, distributors, customers and other designated locations.

The candidate should have good knowledge of local and nearby routes, valid driving documents, basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and the ability to handle loading/unloading and delivery-related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Drive company-owned or assigned vehicles such as Tata Magic, delivery van, pickup van or similar commercial vehicles safely and responsibly.

Transport FMCG/food products and other company materials between the factory, warehouse, stores, distributors and customers.

Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods according to the assigned route and schedule.

Check the quantity and condition of goods before loading and after delivery.

Coordinate with the warehouse, dispatch and sales teams regarding delivery schedules.

Assist in loading and unloading goods whenever required.

Obtain proper delivery acknowledgements, invoices, challans or other required documents from customers/receiving locations.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, fuel usage and vehicle-related expenses as instructed.

Ensure that products are transported carefully to prevent damage, leakage, breakage or contamination.

Follow all traffic rules, company safety procedures and applicable transport regulations.

Perform basic vehicle checks, including tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant and other essential components.

Immediately report any vehicle breakdown, accident, damage, unusual noise or maintenance requirement to the reporting manager.

Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good working condition.

Ensure proper parking and security of the vehicle when it is not in use.

Maintain confidentiality and professional behaviour while dealing with customers, distributors and company staff.

Perform other logistics and transportation duties assigned by the supervisor/management.

Required Qualification

Minimum 3–6 years of relevant driving experience.

Valid Driving Licence applicable to the vehicle being driven.

Experience in commercial vehicle / delivery / logistics / FMCG distribution will be preferred.

Basic reading and writing ability for handling delivery documents and records.

Knowledge of local routes and navigation applications such as Google Maps is preferred.
