A car driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers or goods, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and mechanical functionality, following traffic laws, and planning routes using navigation tools. Key duties include punctuality, conducting daily vehicle checks (oil, tires, fuel), and providing professional, courteous service.
Core Job Responsibilities
Safe Transportation: Driving passengers or goods to destinations safely, complying with all traffic regulations and defensive driving techniques.
Vehicle Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance checks (oil, water, tires, battery), cleaning the interior/exterior, and scheduling repairs.
Route Planning: Using GPS and mapping applications to determine the best routes, avoiding traffic, and ensuring timely arrivals.
Documentation: Keeping records of mileage, fuel consumption, and, if necessary, trip expenses or maintenance receipts.
Customer Service: Acting professionally, assisting passengers with luggage, and ensuring a comfortable, secure journey.
Administrative Tasks: Running errands, delivering packages, or transporting staff as required.
