A School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and special events while ensuring compliance with traffic laws, school policies, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes and schedules.
Pick up and drop off students at designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus.
Ensure students follow safety procedures when boarding, riding, and exiting the bus.
Report accidents, incidents, delays, or mechanical issues to supervisors.
Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, maintenance needs, and student attendance when required.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Assist students with special needs as required.
