Bus Driver

A bus driver's job involves the safe and timely transportation of passengers along designated routes, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and company policies. Core Responsibilities

• Passenger Transportation:

  Safely pick up and drop off passengers at their designated stops, following the assigned route and schedule. 

• Safety & Inspections:

  Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is mechanically sound, and operate the vehicle in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations. 

• Customer Service:

  Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers, especially those with disabilities, and answering questions about routes and schedules. 

• Vehicle Maintenance:

  Keep the bus clean, presentable, and report any mechanical issues to the appropriate service manager or dispatch immediately. 

• Communication:

  Communicate effectively with passengers and remain in contact with dispatch throughout the shift. 

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with the necessary endorsements, such as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and passenger endorsements. 

• Good Driving Record: A clean driving record with a low number of points. 

• Excellent Driving Abilities: Strong ability to navigate large vehicles under various traffic and weather conditions and make sound judgments for safety. 

• Customer Service Skills: The ability to interact positively with a diverse range of passengers. 

• Reliability & Punctuality: Punctual and reliable to ensure the timely operation of bus routes. 

• Adaptability: The ability to handle unexpected situations and maintain a flexible schedule.
