The Social Media Team Manager will lead and oversee social media strategy and execution for multiple clients within a PR-driven communications environment. This role requires deep expertise in the social media domain, strong understanding of PR and reputation management, and the ability to lead teams while managing complex client expectations.
The position demands strategic thinking, crisis-handling capability, excellent communication, and the confidence to present and defend ideas to senior clients. The ideal candidate combines creativity with judgment and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead end-to-end social media strategy, planning, and execution across platforms for multiple clients.
✅ Manage and mentor the social media team, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to brand and PR guidelines.
✅ Develop content calendars, campaign ideas, and platform-specific strategies aligned with communication objectives.
✅ Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, including handling difficult conversations and expectation management.
✅ Collaborate closely with PR teams to ensure narrative alignment, reputation safety, and crisis preparedness.
✅ Manage social media during sensitive situations or crises, ensuring timely escalation, controlled messaging, and risk mitigation.
✅ Conceptualise and deliver presentations, strategy decks, and performance reviews, confidently articulating rationale and outcomes.
✅ Monitor social media performance, sentiment, and trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
✅ Ensure governance, approval processes, and escalation frameworks are followed across accounts.

Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
✅ 6–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a PR agency, digital agency, or integrated communications firm.
✅ Prior experience managing teams and handling multiple client accounts is mandatory.
