✅ Role Overview
The PR Executive will support the execution of day-to-day public relations activities across media relations, content development, events, and reputation management. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and media stakeholders to support brand visibility and credibility.
The position demands organisational discipline, clarity in communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while contributing effectively to client and brand communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers across relevant beats.
✅ Support inbound and outbound media activities, including pitching, follow-ups, and media coordination.
✅ Write and distribute press releases, media notes, articles, speeches, and promotional content.
✅ Assist in planning and executing media events, press conferences, product launches, and promotional activities.
✅ Monitor media and social platforms for brand mentions, coverage, and emerging issues.
✅ Support responses to public criticism and escalate sensitive matters to senior team members when required.
✅ Coordinate with marketing, legal, operations, and internal teams to align PR efforts with broader objectives.
✅ Support spokespeople with media briefs, talking points, and interview preparation.
✅ Track media coverage, maintain reports, and support PR analytics and campaign evaluation.
Required Skills
✅ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
✅ Basic to intermediate understanding of media relations and PR processes.
✅ Ability to write clear, accurate, and well-structured PR content.
✅ Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
✅ Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.
Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
✅ 4-5 years of relevant experience in PR agencies, communications firms, or in-house PR teams.
