Position Overview
As a Senior SEO Executive / Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end SEO strategy, organic growth, and technical optimization. You will lead the SEO team, manage multiple projects, and interact with clients to present SEO proposals, explain strategies, and identify growth opportunities for digital marketing and software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute holistic SEO strategies across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Define short- and long-term SEO goals aligned with business objectives.
Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, SEO trends, and emerging tools.
Support pre-sales activities with SEO audits, proposals, and solution presentations.
Team Leadership & Project Management
Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists.
Oversee multiple projects and ensure timely delivery with measurable results.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and content teams to implement best-practice SEO solutions.
Train team members on client communication, reporting, and software-focused SEO practices.
Technical SEO & Audits
Conduct site audits (crawlability, indexing, speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile UX).
Implement structured data/schema and maintain technical configurations.
Work with development teams to resolve complex technical SEO issues.
Keyword Research & Content Optimization
Perform advanced keyword research using SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner.
Develop SEO content strategies aligned with software products and target audience behavior.
Optimize metadata, headings, internal links, and site structures for improved search performance.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building
Execute white-hat link-building strategies to strengthen domain authority.
Monitor backlinks, conduct audits, and manage toxic links.
Collaborate with outreach teams and external partners for high-quality backlink acquisition.
Analysis, Reporting & Client Management
Track SEO KPIs using GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Looker Studio.
Conduct competitor benchmarking and performance analysis.
Prepare SEO performance reports with actionable insights.
Participate in client meetings, clearly explaining results and recommending upsell opportunities for SEO, web development, or software solutions.
Support lead conversion with consultative selling of company digital solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of proven SEO experience with successful case studies.
Strong leadership and team mentoring capabilities.
Deep knowledge of search algorithms, ranking factors, and white-hat SEO techniques.
Expertise with SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, GTmetrix.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Magento).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Client-facing experience, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Basic understanding of digital service sales or consultative selling (SEO, Web, SaaS, marketing tools).
Strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking.
Experience with international SEO, local SEO, and mobile-first SEO.
Familiarity with PPC, CRO tools (Hotjar, Crazy Egg) is a plus.
Basic knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, headless CMS, and server-side SEO.
Preferred Sales & Software Skills
Ability to identify client needs and recommend SEO or digital software solutions.
Experience creating SEO proposals, audits, or sales presentations.
Comfortable working alongside business development teams.
Understanding of CRM workflows and lead funnel processes.
Experience upselling or cross-selling digital marketing or SaaS solutions is a plus.
