Healthcare Logistics Manager

We are looking for a Healthcare Logistics Manager to lead and optimize our internal fleet of bikers dedicated to medical specimen collection. In this role, you will oversee the daily routing, safety, and strict compliance of picking up blood and biological samples from clinics and transporting them safely to central laboratories. Your primary goal is to minimize turnaround times (TAT), maintain sample integrity via strict temperature controls, and ensure zero-error chain of custody.

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet Leadership: Recruit, onboard, train, and manage a high-performing team of internal motorcycle couriers (bikers).

• Sample Integrity: Enforce strict biomedical cold-chain protocols using specialized temperature-controlled rider bags (ice packs, dry ice).

• Dynamic Routing: Utilize GPS tracking and route-optimization software to dispatch riders efficiently, reducing pickup delays and fuel costs.

• Biohazard Compliance: Ensure all riders strictly adhere to biohazard handling laws, and spill-kit response protocols.

• TAT Optimization: Monitor and improve Turnaround Time (TAT) metrics from the exact moment a clinic requests a collection to laboratory drop-off.

• Asset & Rider Safety: Oversee the maintenance, licensing, and insurance of the biker fleet while enforcing strict road safety guidelines.

• Chain of Custody: Implement barcoding systems to audit and verify that every blood sample matches the clinic manifest upon lab arrival.

• Clinic Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for clinic staff to resolve pickup scheduling conflicts or rider conduct complaints.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Fleet Management: 3+ years of experience managing high-volume, on-demand field operations or last-mile courier fleets (healthcare experience highly preferred).

• Biomedical Knowledge: Familiarity with handling biological specimens and cross-contamination prevention.

• Crisis Management: Ability to rapidly re-route riders during traffic congestion, bad weather, or vehicle breakdowns without compromising sample stability.

• Communication: Strong leadership skills to motivate, manage, and hold accountable a large team of distributed field riders.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or an equivalent combination of field experience

• It is a Full Time Delivery job for candidates with 3 - 6 years of experience.
