Key tasks include organizing the van, scanning parcels, securing cargo, obtaining signatures/payments, and lifting heavy items.
Key Responsibilities
Loading/Unloading: Assist in loading and organizing packages in the van for efficient, safe delivery.
Delivery Assistance: Accompany the driver to destinations, carry packages from the van to customers, and, if required, help with assembly.
Documentation & Payment: Collect signatures, scan parcels, confirm PINs/OTP, and manage Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions.
Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company, providing friendly service, answering questions, and handling complaints.
Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all safety protocols, keep the vehicle clean, and assist with, or perform, vehicle inspections.
Navigation: Assist the driver with navigation and finding routes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Physical Strength: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy packages (often up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
Stamina: Ability to work in various weather conditions and endure constant movement (walking, standing, lifting).
Customer-Oriented: Professionalism and strong communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Attention to detail in checking orders against delivery lists.
Experience: Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or manual labor is often preferred.
