A Delivery Driver / Delivery Boy is responsible for safely, accurately, and timely transporting goods, packages, food, or documents from a warehouse, store, or restaurant directly to customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
• Transport & Navigation: Drive or ride company or personal vehicles (bikes, scooters, cars, or vans) to deliver items using GPS and local street knowledge.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely load, organize, and unload merchandise or packages, ensuring cargo is secured to prevent damage.
• Order Verification: Check invoices, receipts, and item counts against pickup lists before departure to avoid errors.
• Customer Service: Greet customers politely, confirm delivery addresses, resolve minor issues, and collect payments or digital signatures when required.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections (checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels) and keep logs of mileage and fuel.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to local traffic laws, parking rules, and safety regulations.
