Key Responsibilities:
Delivery:
Transporting items to designated locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
Customer Interaction:
Providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and handling payments.
Route Planning & Navigation:
Planning efficient routes, navigating using maps or GPS, and adapting to traffic conditions.
Vehicle Management:
Loading and unloading items, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and ensuring it's in good working order.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, payments, and customer interactions.
Communication:
Communicating with dispatchers, customers, and supervisors regarding delivery status, issues, or delays.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhering to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is often required.
Time Management & Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move items, and handle physical demands of the job.
Local Area Knowledge: Familiarity with the local area can be beneficial.
