Job Description

We are looking for a Service Engineer with hands-on experience in electrical panels, control wiring, power wiring, APFC systems, and power quality solutions. The candidate should be capable of installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of APFC Panels, Active Harmonic Filters (AHF), Static VAR Generators (SVG), LT Panels, and related electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

Installation and commissioning of:

APFC Panels

Static VAR Generators (SVG)

Active Harmonic Filters (AHF)

LT Distribution Panels

PCC, MCC & Control Panels

Maximum Demand Controllers (MDC)

Conduct pre-commissioning and functional testing.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Diagnose and rectify faults in:

Control wiring

Power wiring

Capacitor banks

Contactors, relays, timers, MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs

APFC relay systems

Attend breakdown calls at customer sites.

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

APFC & Power Quality Systems

Programming and configuration of APFC relays.

Understanding of:

Power Factor Correction

Harmonic Mitigation

Reactive Power Compensation

Load Balancing

Commissioning and troubleshooting of SVG and AHF systems.

Testing & Reporting

Electrical measurements and testing using:

Multimeter

Clamp Meter

Power Quality Analyzer

Insulation Tester (Megger)

Thermal Camera

Prepare service reports, commissioning reports, and site visit reports.

Customer Support

Coordinate with clients and provide technical support.

Conduct operator training after installation.

Ensure timely closure of service calls.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of:

Control Wiring

Power Wiring

Electrical Drawings & Schematics

APFC Relay Programming

Capacitor Banks

LT Panels

MCC/PCC Panels

SVG & Active Harmonic Filters

Ability to read SLDs and GA drawings.

Knowledge of DG Synchronization and Auto Changeover Systems is preferred.

Qualifications

Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

2–5 years of experience in Electrical Panel Industry.

Experience in field service and commissioning activities.
